Album Reviews

Brat by Charli XCX

This album had a significant impact on pop culture. From all of its crazy production to truly capturing an edgy pop vibe. Three songs from that album that stand out to me are 360, Von Dutch, and Apple. These songs are hyper-pop bangers that everyone should know. Charli XCX did a great job at wanting to push pop boundaries with this album. It worked out in her favor taking a risk with this album. Brat's catchy hooks and lyrics is what really makes this album constantly be on repeat for me.

C,XOXO by Camila Cabello

The vibe of this album makes me want to go on a late-night drive with my friends with the windows down. The production throughout the album is beautiful, and it pays tribute to Miami in a unique way. The song Dade Country Dreaming on this album should have been a lead single. It is extremely catchy.

Hit Me Hard And Soft by Billie Eilish

This album is one of Eilish's best works. The songs and lyrics are very honest, with each track flowing well into the next. The emotions through this album you can relate to. The song The Greatest from this album shows her raw emotion. The production for this song is excellent, making the listener really feel the lyrics. Overall, the album's atmospheric sound works really well, making this album unique.

Short n' Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter

With all the hype from the lead single of Espresso. Sabrina had to really deliver with this album, and I believe that she did. This album is very playful while also being vulnerable. The song Coincidence from this album is different from what she has put out in the past. With its unique guitar strums, it makes it gives off a campfire song that you will sing with all of your friends; I really enjoy it.

Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé

Beyoncé went down the pop-country route for this album. As someone who is not fond of the country, I still found some songs in this album that still bring the heat. Bodyguard, Spaghetti, and YA YA are my top three favorites from the album. Those three songs are very high-energy and playful. I did enjoy this album, but with her previous album, Renaissance, I knew it would be hard to follow. Cowboy Carter is still worth listening to, and it has tunes that will be added to my playlist.

Eternal Sunshine by Ariana Grande

This album is brilliant with each track having a story. Grande's layering of vocals and harmonies make the album. One of my favorite tracks from this album is supernatural. You can hear her lower register vocals on this track and it is very beautiful. The song is very mellow but lyrically very powerful. I think that this album blew my expectations out of the park.
